Q1 2024: Top Puzzle RPG Apps in the US by Sensor Tower

The first quarter of 2024 has been an interesting period for Puzzle RPGs on the unified platform in the United States. Sensor Tower has compiled data that gives us a glimpse into the performance of the top five applications in this category.

Puzzles & Survival by 37GAMES showed a steady increase in revenue from $1.6M to over $2M during the quarter, with a peak in late February. Downloads declined from 61K to around 40K, while weekly active users decreased from 171K to 151K.

A newer entrant, Puzzles & Chaos: Frozen Castle, also from 37GAMES, displayed growth in revenue, starting at $298K and culminating at $473K by the end of March. Downloads saw a slight dip from 33K to around 27K, but weekly active users experienced an uptick, ending the quarter at 113K from an initial 86K.

Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.'s DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE had a fluctuating revenue pattern, with highs of $1.8M and lows of $371K. The game's downloads ranged between 16K and 35K, while active users numbered between 252K and 313K throughout the quarter.

The freshly released World of Water by StarFortune saw initial high downloads at 73K, which later stabilized around 20K. Its revenue showed growth each week, concluding at $23K, and active users increased from 71K to 70K in the first few weeks of release.

Lastly, Zynga's Empires & Puzzles: Match-3 RPG maintained a strong revenue presence with figures hovering around the $1M mark and peaking at $1.3M. Downloads saw a gradual rise in January, reaching a high of 28K, but tapered to 15K by the end of March. Active users had a high of 372K in February, with a general range between 231K and 330K.
